I'm thinking about putting custom high output alternator on my '23 trax. What do you think guy, is this a good idea? I'm worry about the issue that'll come after, any insights are welcome

It's not good, it's a great idea, but if you really need it. Are you running big electrical loads like lights, inverters, amps? If so, then you should do it for a stable voltage and battery protection. But if not, then there is no need to do that.

I've got a 2023 Trax ACTIV I use for hauling gear to desert shoots, and I looked into a high-output alternator too. If you're running a big audio setup or extra lighting, it can help but make sure the voltage regulator can handle it. Just watch for heat and make sure your wiring's up to spec. What kind of load are you planning to run?
