My poor neighbor has a car nightmare. they bought this BRAND NEW Chevy Trax 1RS.
Not even TWO WEEKS later, the car starts shaking and sputtering at stoplights like it's about to just DIE!
Then, suddenly, lights all over the dashboard! Service ESC, reduced engine power, and the steering reduced, and the "drive with care light" was on!

Ofc, they took it right back to the dealership, and they had it for almost 2 whole weeks!
After replacing the fuel injectors, my neighbor finally took the car back home.
Not even TWO DAYS later, the same exact problem starting all over again, lol!

So, back to the dealership again! And after three more weeks, the dealer says tht they need to replace the ENTIRE ENGINE?! (I was speechless when my neighbor told me this)

Needless to say, they've told GM that they want a buyback!
Well, I just hope the best for them. they bought it bcs they like my Trax and want it too, but I still can't believe the bad luck they have

What a nightmare wow. I just hope they get a full replacement or full refund asap because no one should experience that with a brand-new car. Fingers crossed everything goes like it should from now on.

Any update on it? Kinda invested in this story and been seeing this for a couple weeks now, resisted the urge to comment because you might still come back. But yeah, huge bummer. Hope they were able to go for the buyback?

That's rough. Sounds like a bad ECU or sensor issue causing it to go into limp mode. A whole new engine on a new car? Yeah, I'd say that's a good reason for them to just buy it back.
