Just would like to share this experience wiith my 2017 Trax

Had some issues with the rear brakes as they were squeaky so i took it to the shop. i left with them and when i came back to checkm they rear brakes still has noise. turns out the mechanic fixed the wrong one. Good thing we checked it before leaving the shop. now im still waiting for them to fix it.
will come back to this thread for updates. anyone else had similar story?

@bubbatea, tough luck with the shop mix-up! Good thing you caught it early before heading off. Brakes can be finicky, especially when one wheel's issues get overlooked. Once sorted, ensure they test the fix before releasing the car. it's common courtesy but often forgotten. Hope the update comes soon!

My sister had something similar happen with her front caliper once, she told them exactly what side was dragging, and somehow they replaced pads on the other one. Took another visit with me this time and a lot of eye rolling to get it right haha

I'm not justifying anything, but it happens and it's an honest mistake, as long as the shop accept it and fix the right part without charging you. Also, you can ask what was actually fixed, mayebe there was another problem that they identified?

yeah, stories like this are way more common than they should be. It's easy for wires to get crossed, or for a mechanic to jump to conclusions
When you explain the problem, don't just say rear brakes. Point to the exact wheel if you know it, like it's definitely the rear passenger side that's squealing. If you can, even try to record the sound on your phone or describe when it happens
